Lihue Cemetery is public cemetery under the charter of the Lihue Public Cemetery Association. The Lihue Public Cemetery Association was incorporated on March 8, 1911 by D.P.R Isenberg, Hans Isenberg, Dora Isenberg, George N. Wilcox, A.S. Wilcox, S.W. Wilcox and W.H. Rice.

The charter is formed as a non-profit corporation for the establishment and maintenance of a public cemetery in Lihue. The original application made under the authority of the Governor of the then territory of Hawaii.
